These terms cover use of the SurveyChoice website and the online booking step. The detailed scope and terms of engagement for a survey are confirmed before the inspection.
About SurveyChoice
SurveyChoice is operated by Mills Building Consultancy. It is a quoting, matching and booking tool providing fixed-price access to Level 2 home and Level 3 building survey instructions within its live coverage area. SurveyChoice itself is not a chartered or regulated professional.
The matched surveyor
The person or practice responsible for the inspection and report is identified with the quote. Their professional memberships, regulatory position and delivery terms belong to that surveyor or practice and are shown separately from the SurveyChoice platform.
Prices and property information
Prices are the total amount payable, with VAT included where applicable, and are calculated from the property information supplied. A quote is held for 14 days. If material information is incorrect or the property falls outside the stated assumptions, we will explain any necessary scope or price change before proceeding. We will not charge a different figure without agreement.
Booking and payment
When you continue from the booking form, SurveyChoice saves the request and gives you a private return link. A booking remains a request for an instruction until payment is accepted, where payment is enabled, and the practice confirms capacity and access. Stripe processes card payments. You must be authorised to use the payment method, provide accurate contact and property information, and keep the private booking link secure.
Survey scope
The inspection is visual and non-invasive unless additional work is expressly agreed. Concealed areas, inaccessible parts and services that require specialist testing fall outside a standard home survey. The final terms of engagement explain the precise scope, limitations, report use and professional responsibility.
Cancellation
Consumer cancellation rights may apply to a service bought online. If you ask for work to begin during a statutory cancellation period, you may be responsible for the proportion already performed if you later cancel. SurveyChoice will provide the applicable cancellation information with confirmation and will not arrange the inspection without the required agreement.
